Alliance race

WoW Forever Human Race

Humans trade their old reputation bonus and flat weapon skill for a stun break. Will to Survive gives every Human class an answer to stuns, and Sword Specialization now raises spell and ability crit with any sword equipped.

Racials below come from a community calculator and are checked against BlizzCon demo reports; each one carries its own label and sources.

  • Sword Specialization: +5 skill with one- and two-handed swords.
  • Mace Specialization: +5 skill with one- and two-handed maces.
  • Perception: Increased stealth detection for 20 seconds.

What changes from Classic

Perception and The Human Spirit survive. Diplomacy and the mace bonus are not among the four Forever racials, and Will to Survive is a new active.

Where Human was the Classic pick

  • Warrior (PvE, Alliance): +5 sword and mace skill cut glancing-blow penalties and misses, the biggest raid DPS racial in Classic.
  • Paladin (PvE (Holy)): 5% Spirit helps mana regeneration between casts; Humans were the default healing paladin.
  • Paladin (PvE (Retribution)): Sword and mace skill mattered for a melee class whose best weapons were two-handed swords and maces.
  • Rogue (PvE, Alliance): +5 sword and mace skill on a class that raided with swords.
  • Priest (PvP, Alliance): Feedback burned attacking casters' Mana, and Perception caught Rogues.
  • Warlock (PvP, Alliance): Perception against Rogues; Gnome Escape Artist was the other pick.
