FAQ
Is WoW Forever Builds official?
No. WoW Forever Builds is an independent fan site and is not affiliated with Blizzard Entertainment. Game data is labeled by source and may still change at launch.
Do I need an account?
Only to publish, vote on or comment on guides. The talent calculator, Legacy planner and Alt Hub work without one. You can log in with Battle.net or a username.
How are guides ranked?
By player votes. Top rated uses a confidence score, so a guide with 45 of 50 helpful votes ranks above one with a single vote.
When does WoW Forever launch?
Launch is November 4, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. PT (November 5, 00:00 in Central Europe). The beta ran from September 17 to October 23 and nothing from it carries over. Our release date page has the full timeline in your time zone.
When can I reserve my character name?
Early Name Reservation runs October 27 through November 3 for upgrade owners: it opens at 18:00 CET in Europe and 1:00 p.m. PDT in North America on October 27. You can create up to three characters across all Rulesets. See how it works.
Are the talent trees final?
Not guaranteed. The calculator uses talent data datamined from the beta client, and Blizzard can still change it at launch. Every guide records the data version it was built with, so outdated builds are easy to spot.
What are Legacy Points?
Account-wide points shared by all your alts. Each character spends up to 16 of them across three Legacy Trees. Values not yet confirmed in game are marked as unconfirmed.
Can I share a talent build?
Yes. Every calculator build has its own link that keeps your talents, the level-by-level order, race and professions. Paste it anywhere, including Discord.
Where should I start with leveling?
Pick a class with the best leveling class list, then open the leveling hub for your class and level range. Solo, dungeon and group guides show which talent to take at each level. The 1–60 route for Alliance or Horde shows where to quest, and the combos page ranks duo and trio pairings by player votes.
Can I write my own guide?
Yes. Create a free account, pick your class and spec, attach a build and talent order, and publish. Other players vote and comment, and the best guides rise to the top.
