Sources & Data Verification

Every value on this site links to where it came from. Nothing is filled in by guessing: when a value is unknown we say so, and when sources disagree we show both.

Verification labels

Official Stated by Blizzard.
Community verified Confirmed in game by trusted community sources.
Unconfirmed Reported by community sites, for example transcribed from demo footage, but not confirmed in game.
Disputed Sources disagree. We show every reported value and do not pick one until it can be checked.

How the data is collected

Find a source and record it with the date it was retrieved.
Capture the fact, never the source's wording of it where we can avoid it.
Compare against every other source. Disagreements are recorded, not averaged.
Assign the data version and verification label, then publish and log the change.

Many community sites transcribed the same BlizzCon 2026 demo footage, so several sources agreeing does not make a value confirmed. That is why all perk values are currently marked Unconfirmed.

Class talent trees

The talent calculator, the talent builds in every guide and the in-game addon's talent guides use the nine class trees as the game client itself defines them: build 1.60.1.70532, read from the client's data tables (served by wago.tools) on Oct 24, 2026. Positions, ranks, prerequisites and icons come straight from those tables. Tooltips are rendered from the client's own description templates; numbers that grow with level are shown as a level 60 character sees them, and the few values the client computes from character stats (attack power, pet damage) are shown as "X". "Updated" and "New" compare each talent with Classic Era build 1.15.9. Refreshed withnode scripts/import-talents-client.mjs.

Class abilities and tier sets

The new ability and set bonus pages, and the matching sections on each talent calculator page, come from the WoW Forever beta client datamine published by daybreakforever.com (from wago.tools client tables): beta build1.60.1.70532 compared with base build 1.15.9.69722, generated Oct 22, 2026. We keep game facts only (names, costs, cast times, cooldowns, tooltip text, set pieces and bonuses). Values the datamine does not carry, such as rank, trainer level, icons and drop locations, are left blank rather than guessed. Refreshed with node scripts/import-abilities.mjs.

Gear and items

The gear by slot pages and the item notes on dungeon pages come from the same WoW Forever beta client datamine (build 1.60.1.70532, generated Oct 22, 2026): 2793 new gear items and 2740 existing items with changed stats. Beta datamine, may change. We keep names, quality, item level, required level, armor type, armor, weapon damage, stats, effects and class restrictions as the client lists them. The datamine has no loot tables, drop sources or icon names, so no item is tied to a dungeon or boss and no item is ranked as best in slot. Refreshed with node scripts/import-items.mjs.
