Classic dungeon in WoW Forever

Stratholme (Undead)

The Undead side of Stratholme, reached through the Service Entrance, is a 59–60 dungeon in the Eastern Plaguelands. In Classic it runs through the Scourge-held half of the city, past the ziggurats, to Baron Rivendare. It sits at the very top of the chart, so expect it to play as a level 60 run.

Before you go: getting there, keys and prep

The beta stopped at level 30, so nobody has run Stratholme (Undead) in WoW Forever yet. Each line says where it comes from: the final beta client (1.60.1.70532), Blizzard, or how it worked in Classic.

How to get there

  • Classic fallback Stratholme is in the north of the Eastern Plaguelands. The Main Gate leads into the Live (Scarlet) side and the Service Entrance at the back into the Undead side. In Classic both factions fly to Light's Hope Chapel. Warcraft Wiki

Prep checklist

  • Datamined The client gives Blackrock Spire, Scholomance, Stratholme and Dire Maul a level 50 entry requirement, with a second switch that can mark the dungeon "currently not available" from the server. Daybreak Forever datamine
  • Classic fallback In Classic the Key to the City drops from Magistrate Barthilas. It opens the Eastwall Gate to the Undead side, the gate between the two halves of the city and the gate into the Gauntlet that starts the Baron's 45-minute timer. Warcraft Wiki
  • Datamined Stratholme has a new one-day lockout row in the client. How Blizzard uses it (a daily cap, a reward lock, or a reset timer) has not been announced. Daybreak Forever datamine
  • Datamined Dungeon enemies hit harder than in Classic: the client multiplies creature melee and spell damage by 1.2 in every dungeon, while their health stays the same. Expect more incoming damage per pull than old Classic numbers suggest. Daybreak Forever datamine
  • Classic fallback Collect the quests first: 10 from the Classic list, each with where it starts.

Bosses (Classic reference)

Unconfirmed

Classic reference — may change in WoW Forever. These are the main bosses of the original Classic dungeon. WoW Forever has not published this dungeon's encounters, so treat the list as a starting point until it is confirmed in game.

  1. Magistrate Barthilas
  2. Nerub'enkan
  3. Baroness Anastari
  4. Maleki the Pallid
  5. Ramstein the Gorger
  6. Baron Rivendare

What Forever changed about the loot here

Unconfirmed

Forever does not publish its loot tables, and no datamine carries them, so this is not a drop list and it has no drop rates. It takes the Classic drop list for Stratholme (Undead) and shows which of those items the beta client gives different stats. 14 of 81 have changed in build 1.60.1.70707.

Stratholme (Undead) quests by faction (Classic list)

Classic fallback

Classic fallback, not seen in the beta. The beta stopped at level 30, so no Stratholme (Undead) quest has shown up in the Forever data yet. This is the original Classic list, split by faction: givers, levels and chains may change in Forever, and the list is replaced by Forever data once players run the dungeon.

Ordered by pick-up level, chains in step order. "Starts" is the giver's Classic spawn point; quests that show "inside the dungeon" are handed out past the portal.
