Classic dungeon in WoW Forever

Ragefire Chasm

Ragefire Chasm is the lowest Classic dungeon on the WoW Forever chart, with a 13–19 band that starts at the same level as Hall of Thanes. In Classic its entrance sits inside Orgrimmar, which makes it the first dungeon most Horde characters from Durotar and the Barrens see. It is a short run with four bosses, easy to fit between quest hubs.

Quest prep

Six quests, and the givers are spread across three Horde cities. Collect them on your way to Orgrimmar rather than after you arrive, because two of them sit in Thunder Bluff and the Undercity.

  • The beta data does not faction-lock these quests, but every giver and turn-in is in Horde territory, so in practice this is a Horde run.
  • One quest starts inside and cannot be shared: Returning the Lost Satchel comes off Maur Grimtotem's corpse, and only if you are already carrying Searching for the Lost Satchel. Everyone who wants it has to bring that quest in themselves.
  • Quest names, levels and NPCs come from the beta client. Where a giver stands is taken from the Classic version of the dungeon and is not confirmed for WoW Forever yet.

    In the dungeon: Eight Ragefire Troggs and eight Ragefire Shamans, all trash, so this one finishes itself on a normal clear. Both the giver and the turn-in are Rahauro on Elder Rise in Thunder Bluff, which is a zeppelin ride away from the entrance in Orgrimmar.

  1. Orgrimmar, Cleft of Shadow — Neeru Fireblade, next to the instance entrance: Slaying the Beast.
  2. Orgrimmar — Thrall gives the chain that Hidden Enemies belongs to.
  3. Thunder Bluff, Elder Rise — Rahauro: Testing an Enemy's Strength and Searching for the Lost Satchel.
  4. Undercity, the Apothecarium — Varimathras, down the guarded spiral path: The Power to Destroy...

Do this first

  • Hidden Enemies is a middle step: work through Thrall's chain in Orgrimmar until it sends you into the Chasm.
  • Maur Grimtotem's corpse is past the first boss, on the right-hand turn before the main path.
