WoW Forever beta build 69913: 129 new items, a new legendary item and tidier raid sets
A day after the beta opened, WoW Forever received its first client update, build 1.60.1.69913. The datamine shows 129 new items that look like Ruins of Lordaeron loot, a new legendary quest item called Drained Vessel, a quest starter named Mulgore Expansion Plans, and cleaned-up raid tier sets that now list exactly six slots each. It also coincides with a batch of fixes Blizzard promised for the next build.

Less than a day after the servers opened, the WoW Forever beta has its first client update. Build 1.60.1.69913 replaced 1.60.1.69876 early on September 18. Here is what the datamine shows changed.
Raid tier sets are down to six slots
The 18 new raid tier sets we covered earlier this week had a messy structure in the previous build: ten entries each, with unnamed placeholders for head, shoulders, chest, hands, legs and feet sitting alongside four named item level 61 pieces for the same slots. In 69913 the duplicates are gone. Each set now lists six slots:
- Head and chest — still unnamed placeholders.
- Legs, hands, shoulders and feet — named, epic, item level 61.
For Manaflare Regalia that means Manaflare Pants, Gloves, Mantle and Boots, with the helm and robe still to be revealed. The same pattern holds across all 18: the three Justice and two Conviction paladin sets, the four Grovekeeper druid sets, the three Spiritcaller shaman sets, Grimstitch, Demonheart, Wildstalker and both Glory sets.
It is a small change, but a useful one. It confirms these are six-piece sets, not eight, and that the head and chest are the pieces Blizzard is still holding back. Set bonuses themselves are unchanged from the previous build.
129 new items, most of them early dungeon loot
The build adds 129 items (56 rare, 51 uncommon, 22 common). Nearly all are low level — rares cluster at item level 20–28 — which lines up with the beta’s level 20 cap and its two new dungeons.
The names do a lot of the talking. Forsaken Greataxe, Slain Baron’s Signet, The Stitcher, Abomination Bones, Leftover Abomination Skin, Meathook Slicer, Monstrous Cleaver (with bonus attack power against undead) and Plaguefang all fit a Scourge-infested Ruins of Lordaeron, whose boss list includes The Butcher, Viktor the Vile and The Abandoned. The datamine does not attach sources to these items, so treat the dungeon link as a strong read, not a fact.
A few standouts for twinks and levellers:
- Tattered Mittens (ilvl 28): 8 Sta, 6 Spi, 11 healing, 4 spell damage.
- Tanned Shoulderpads (ilvl 27): 9 Sta, 9 healing, 3 spell damage.
- Dreamer’s Leggings (ilvl 22): 11 Int, 4 spell power.
- Monstrous Cleaver (ilvl 23): 9 Sta, 10 AP, +9 AP vs undead.
A sixth legendary item and a new quest
The legendary questline we covered yesterday gains one item: Drained Vessel. It has no text yet, but in a chain whose ritual needs “all six vessels” placed, a drained vessel is presumably the empty form you fill as you go.
One new quest-starter item appears: Mulgore Expansion Plans. There is no description, and nothing else in the build explains it yet. The name alone is enough to make Mulgore worth watching in the next builds.
The live server is now visible
The datamine’s live-server item count jumped from 218 to 3,404. That is the tool getting more data out of the beta, not Blizzard adding 3,000 items, but it does surface some interesting things. Among them are 88 items the previous build listed as missing, including several of original WoW’s never-released pieces, some with new stats. That story gets its own article.
Addon findings
This is also the first build where the addon API has been systematically tested. The short list: unit health is a secret value addons cannot calculate with, secure snippets fail to compile, WOW_PROJECT_ID is missing, and GetItemInfo, GetSpellInfo and the talent calls have moved into C_ namespaces. Full details are in our addon breakdown.
Fixes Blizzard promised for the next build
Blizzard’s day-one known-issues list marked these as fixed in the next beta build. 69913 is the first build since that list, but players should confirm each fix in-game rather than take it as read:
- Waylaid Crates accepting items with a maximum stack smaller than the required quantity.
- Waylaid Crate: Apprentice Curiosities accepting Greater Magic Essence instead of Lesser.
- Sentinel Lynessa Duskblossom running too fast during Escaping Ban’ethil in Teldrassil.
- Starshards (Night Elf priest racial) not benefiting from Twilight Focus.
- Retribution Vengeance proccing from periodic crits.
- Holy Strike ranks feeling weak per rank.
- Create Firestone ranks 3 and 4 missing their tooltip text.
Barber chair errors, the Legacy panel and the missing level, class and title display on the character pane were listed as work in progress, not fixed in this build.
