Fire is one of the three Mage talent trees, and guide authors play it as DPS. In Classic the Fire tree was the mage's high-damage tree, built around critical strikes and Ignite. In the WoW Forever talent data its deepest talent is Combustion, and 13 of its 17 talents are marked new or changed from Classic 1.12.
