The top-voted PvP talent build for each Mage spec, written by players on this site, and the Mage talents the final client changed in ways that matter in PvP. Level 60 PvP was never on the beta, so builds are theorycrafted until launch on November 4; vote on the guides to move the best build up.

DataminedIce Lance
Frost talent
Deals 200% extra damage to frozen targets in this build (300% in the older text). Frost Nova into Ice Lance still works, it just hits a little softer.
Fingers of Frost
Frost talent
Chill effects have a 15% chance to make your next 2 spells act as if the target were frozen, which feeds Shatter without a Frost Nova.
Improved Fire Blast
Fire talent
Now adds 15 yards of range to Fire Blast on top of the shorter cooldown, an instant finisher from much further away.

What a Mage did in Classic PvP
Classic fallback- Burst damage
- Crowd control
Polymorph removes one enemy from a fight, Frost Nova and Blink create distance, and Frost or Fire spells burst from range.
