WoW Forever Enchanting Guide
Enchanting disenchants magic items into dust, essences and shards, then uses them to add permanent stats to gear. It has no gathering partner, which makes it the classic choice for players who want to enchant their own raid gear.

Key milestones
- Crusader (skill 300) heals and grants Strength on melee hits and needs Large Brilliant Shards and Righteous Orbs. Warcraft Wiki

Leveling outline
- Disenchant every green and blue you do not need instead of vendoring it.
- Craft the next enchanting rod as soon as it unlocks; later formulas require it.
- Sell cheap early enchants to lowbies for skill-ups that pay for themselves.
Best pairing
Tailoring. Enchanting needs a steady stream of green items to disenchant, and Tailoring turns looted cloth into exactly that.
Who benefits from Enchanting
- Mages, Priests and Warlocks: Cloth wearers already level Tailoring, which feeds disenchanting.
- Guild raiders: Having your own enchanter means your raid gear is enchanted the day it drops.
